About Physie



What is Physical Culture?
Physical Culture incorporates Modern Dance, Standing and Floor Exercise & Gymnastic Routines, simplified Ballet, Aerobic Warm Ups and Marching. All routines are performed to modern music.
Why should girls do Physie?
Build your self-esteem through Physie and dance your way to fitness!
At the Burleigh Waters Club we teach the importance of exercise, and develop a student's unique tallent for Physie.
Physie improves: strength, flexibility, fitness, deportment, posture, coordination & balance.
The class environment also promotes: discipline, goal setting, social skills, team work & concentration.
Physie is designed to challenge and extend the talents and skills of our young performers.
Competitions:
There are competitions for all ages at a Club, State and National level, in both team and individual events. Competitions truly are a wonderful experience. Our members who compete say it is a great way to show family and friends what they have been practising all year, as well as building confidence, meeting new friends, receiving medals and awards and building the Burleigh Club Spirit and camaraderie! Ask any of our 2009 members and they will tell you that competitions are definitely the best part of the Physie year and the most memorable.
