Club Mission Statement:


To support and encourage every girl to reach their Physie potential, to gain the highest level of performance to which they are capable and to which they desire.

Burleigh Waters Physical Culture Club was established in 2006, and during this time the club as strived to become a top ranked club in Queensland for Individual and Team Events and is one of Australia's largest Physical Culture Clubs.

 

At Burleigh Waters we strive for individual excellence whilst providing students with a thorough grounding in the fundamentals of Physie. Our highly experienced teacher and club officials make the club a friendly, welcoming and supportive environment,, where the girls are guided to achieve their fullest potential, whether it be Physie for fitness, enjoyment or competitions.


In 2009 the Burleigh Waters Club received outstanding results at all levels of competition. In individual events we had 43 members represent the club at a State level and 20 members represent the club at a National level.


At the National Finals the Burleigh Waters Club received 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place, 12 finalists and 2 semi finalists. In team events our club received 1st, four 2nd's and 5th place.


Our classes are held at Caningeraba School Hall at Burleigh Waters on the Gold Coast. We have classes for girls through to ladies, and beginners are more than welcome!

 

Building self esteem and confidence is vital in developing a student’s unique talent and ability. At Burleigh Waters Physie Club, we believe in rewarding every student for their personal achievements. Every lesson awards are presented in class for; effort, behaviour, improvement or performance. Also at our End of Year Presentation every student receives an award for participating in the Physie Comps, and many Special Awards are presented. Teacher Lauren Kocass has been participating in Physie for 18 years, and is a State and National Winner and Placegetter. Lauren opened the Burleigh Waters Club in 2006 and teaches all classes from 4 years to ladies.
Lauren also has qualifications in Exercise Nutrition.
