Our Club
We Teach: Dance, Exercise,
Ballet & Gymnastics… All in one class Club To support and
encourage every girl to reach their Physical Culture potential, to gain the
highest level of performance to which they are capable and to which they
desire. Welcome: Burleigh Waters Physical
Culture Club was established in 2006. We are a community based club, which
enables girls of all ages and abilities to experience Physical Culture to
their fullest potential.
Our classes are held at the
Caningeraba School Hall at Burleigh Waters on the Gold Coast. We have classes
for girls 4 years and up, and beginners are more than welcome!! What is Physical Culture? Physical Culture incorporates Modern
Dance, Standing and Floor Exercise & Gymnastics Routines, simplified
Ballet, Aerobic Warm Ups & Marching. All routines are performed to modern
music. Why should girls
do Physie? There are so many reasons why parents enroll their daughter(s)
into Physie. This uniquely Australian Dance-Sport improves strength,
flexibility, fitness, deportment, posture, coordination & balance. The
Physie class environment also promotes discipline, goal setting, social
skills, teamwork & concentration. Physie is designed to challenge and
extend the talents and skills of our young performers. Competitions: There are competitions for all ages at
a Club, State and National level, in both team and individual events.
Competitions truly are a wonderful experience; they give the girls the
opportunity to show family and friends what they have been practicing all
year as well as helping to develop confidence. Ask any of our 2007 members
and they will tell you that competitions are definitely the best part of the
Physie year and the most memorable. |
